Vintage Dietz Monarch Hurricane Lantern — Good Condition, As-Found Patina, Includes Spare Wick
Genuine Dietz Monarch hurricane lantern, part of a small collection sourced together — one of only three Dietz models to stay in continuous production for over a century, alongside the Junior and Blizzard. Its Art Deco "Streamline" redesign, introduced in 1936, became a design icon in its own right, famously lighting up countless Hollywood Westerns through the 1940s and '50s. Built to the same wind-proof, kerosene-burning principle R.E. Dietz pioneered back in 1840.
Condition: 3/5 — good, honest wear. Sound and leak-free with no rust, showing solid surface patina consistent with genuine age and use. A light clean would freshen it up nicely, but it presents well as-is for those who like character over polish.
Fully working, ready to fuel and light. Includes one spare wick.
