Max Sievert Paraffin Blowtorch — Vintage Swedish

A genuine vintage blowtorch by Max Sievert of Stockholm, Sweden — one of the true pioneers of the blowtorch industry, founded in 1882. Stamped "Max Sievert, Stockholm," this dates the piece to before the early 1960s, when the company's branding changed following a change of ownership. Fuelled by paraffin (kerosene), these solid brass and steel torches were genuine working tools relied on by tradesmen for soldering and metalwork for decades — and make an excellent, characterful way to get a braai fire roaring in style.
